This Mother’s Day Adult Alternative Home Care celebrated by handing out these cute tulip flower pens to our community partners. These pretty flower pens change to pink and blueish-purple in the sun. The fun pens were placed in cute elegant vases for social workers and other personnel. Every vase and set of pens were specially put together and attached with cards stating Celebrate Mother’s Day! These were unique giveaways and everyone loved them!
Mother’s Day has roots in ancient festivals celebrating mothers, but the modern holiday originated in the United States in the early 20th century. Anna Jarvis campaigned for an official day to honor mothers, inspired by her own mother’s activism. In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a proclamation establishing the second Sunday in May as Mother’s Day. Since then, it’s become a global celebration honoring mothers and motherhood.
