WHAT IS A HOME HEALTH AIDE?
A home health aide (HHA) is someone who is qualified through formal training, to perform personal care needs and home management. The job of an HHA is to maintain their client’s personal comfort and a safe, clean environment.
WHY BECOME A HOME HEALTH AIDE?
Home health aides change lives! Aging adults are able to maintain their independence with the help of HHAs. With an in-home aide, many seniors are able to remain in their homes and avoid unnecessary hospital visits.
You are essentially a HERO, why not get paid too?
Here at Adult Alternative Home Care, we offer in-person and online training for all who are interested in becoming Certified Home Health Aides. You can register now on our website www.adultalternativecare.com!
There are no set entry requirements to become an HHA, but good literacy and compassion are great qualifications to any healthcare professional.
Our HHA training courses are 3 weeks long and begin on a rolling basis. The classes include 60 hours of classroom instruction, followed by 16 hours of hands-on clinical training in a patient care setting. Each session is a total of 76 hours.
If you are located in Elizabeth, NJ or nearby towns and are looking for a home health aide certification program, contact Adult Alternative Home Care at 908-590-1759. Our training sessions are monthly, and the process is easy to get started.
